The Public Health Act requires that workers operating in the food processing industry be examined at least twice a year to ensure that they do not have transmittable diseases such as TB and Salmonella since they handle food for the general public. Companies in the food processing industry such as bakeries, Hotels, Restaurants, Catering Services, Abattoirs, Beverages, Meat, Chicken and Fish processors need to carry out
these examinations to their employees as mandated.
